One more reason to fear BUSH III

Recently, the graying and wrinkly, yet plucky, Barbara Walters was given the P. Diddy treatment with a walk-through of the White House by King George and the Wife. Possibly a payback for naming Rove most intriguing in 04, but either way, Bush II repeated the mantra that BUSH III is probably not going to seek the throne in 08.

Now, if you really think BUSH III won't run, you need to sober up. And if you think America won't elect BUSH III in 08, then you haven't been paying attention to your neighbors, because our neighbors don't vote their best interests.

Except for the heat and the occassional smackdown from Mother Nature, most people don't mind life in BUSH III Florida.

And, you know, folks really seem to like JEB! down here. He is an attractive speaker, much more intelligent than big brother and dad, the economy here aint bad, and you know, he was so caring after those storms and quick to write those FEMA checks. He was even nice enough to pay for damage that didn't even exist.

But there is another side to him. A more sinister, disturbing side. Especially if you are a pure patriot who doesn't like the government and our leaders poking around in our lives or stifling our rights.

As it has been reported in the Sun-Sentinel, BUSH III and his evil sith lords in the FL legislature are attempting to re-write the FLorida Constitution. It seems that they hate those pesky ballot initiatives that we vote on. They just get their panties twisted when we citizens want to dictate how we live in our state. He's publicly decried the right to adapt our constitution to our changing lives. BUSH III knows better than us. BUSH III wants that power himself.

Couple this with the scary unconsitutional interference in the Schiavo Right-to-Die case, and you can imagine what fascist impules would be running in his veins if he gets into the oval office.

I write this in hopes that someone, somewhere, will be intrigued enough to learn more about BUSH III and maybe talk to some people with power who can begin to form a defense against this imperial assault, which I am certain is coming to the next presidential race.

I hope someone is paying attention to this guy now, because he's a lot scarier than the chimp.

If we get the husband from that right to life case make really moving ads attacking Jeb then that ought to damage him. Just a thought.

And it would work only if framed in the context of an authority figure interfering in personal lives.

Not the right-to-die angle.

Because, you heard it here first, when Jeb runs for president, that lady will alive will be a fundraiser bonanza. And if she dies she will be commercialized in ads and will become a marytr for his campaign.

But I like the way you think.

jeb will not get anywhere in 2008. america is not
ready for a monarchy and that is what another bush presidency would look like. he may be popular in florida but the rest of the country won`t go for him, plus his brother will probably be so unpopular the name bush will be poisen.

Wrong you are. Americans absolutely love political dynasties. Just ask Stephanie Herseth and Evan Bayh. Yes, Americans will elect another Bush if he runs. Because yes, the Bushes will do absolutely anything they have to do to win (and that includes rigging vote machines if they need to).

Except that no one who isn't a big political junkie has heard of them. Hell, I'm a big political junkie and I've never heard of Stephanie Herseth. How can Americans love them if they've never heard of them. Besides, George W. has something that Bayh and Jeb don't have: the ability to connect with voters.

Bush has been a DISASTER for the economy..

The bottom line is that people are hurting and GWB is making the situation much worse, not better.

The voter-disenfranchisement drive and the Iraq war might have swung things for George II in 2004, but there is no way any Bush could pull it off again. People are hurting...

It's a symptom of delusional thinking to continue pursuing policies when they have been proven not to work. We have a President with that problem. Sooner or later people will realize that and bail...

Probably sooner...

We need solar energy and renewable resources, not more and more wars for oil.

It has to end somewhere. Lets do it on our terms and not as some kind of disaster...

Conservation and environmental thinking are not dirty words, they are the way to preserve a decent, SUSTAINABLE America in the future..

The road we are on now leads to disaster as we squabble with the rest of the world over a diminishing resource...

Maybe Bush/Halliburton/Saudis make out like bandits in that ENDgame, but nobody else does..

Right, that's what propelled the Dems to victory in 2004--Americans woke up and realized Bush had Saudi ties.

Primaries and the Senate and NE curse (none / 0)

Any Republican candidate has to come through the primary process. Senators have lots of votes that can be picked apart (bye bye Frist). Northeastern and west coasters are dogged by liberal constituencies, votes, acts, etc. (bye bye Rudy G and Pataki). Arnold is not legal (not a natural born citizen).

So who is left? Rick Perry, Jeb Bush, Taft and people from smaller states. They sure won't run Ken Blackwell for President. This is possible, especially if Kay Bailey Hutchinson takes apart Perry in a vicious primary.

And a lot of mid-sized southern states have Dem governors to boot. Bill Owen of Colorado is photogenic as all get out and is a far righter. he also is term limited. Rove picks candidates by looks, at least in part. Jeb looks OK.

I think JEB's biggest problem is NOT the family dynasty but his statement that he will not run for President. Makes him look shifty, a flip-flopper for sure.

And it made you sick the pandering to the bible thumpers and the blind faith crowd this last time, watch JEB! roll out those Schiavo ads, especially if she dies.

That'd be a pretty powerful strategy if he played it right, and he would.
He's a smart cookie.
